Dr. Ana Cáceres has a special interest in computed tomography (CT); angiography, which is a procedure to X-ray blood and lymph vessels using a radiopaque substance; ultrasonography of the thorax, abdomen and musculoskeletal system; and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the spine, thorax, abdomen, nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Dr. Cáceres likes salsa dancing. She has two American bulldogs, Maximilian and Abigail, and three cats, Molly, Stephanie and Baby.

Dr. Olivier Campbell’s approach to veterinary oncology focuses on patient care and improving quality of life. He enjoys working with patients of all ages, and he believes pets become cuter and more adorable as they age. As a board-certified veterinary oncologist, he is particularly interested in conventional chemotherapy, low-dose oral (metronomic) chemotherapy, targeted anticancer treatment and palliative care.

Dr. Nolan Chalifoux’s passion for critical care is driven by the ability to work as a team, devoting efforts to the sickest patients, nursing them back to health and giving them a second chance. His clinical interests include:

• Plasmapheresis and hemodialysis for the management of acute intoxication and kidney injuries

Dr. Chalifoux is one of few veterinarians in the region to offer plasmapheresis and hemodialysis to pets.

Dr. MacLeod and her husband, a radiologist at our hospital, have two sons. Their pet family includes three-legged German shepherd dog Luke, dachshunds The Geck and Freckle, and a fuzzy cat named Fatty McTunapants. Dr. MacLeod enjoys the outdoors, reading and jogging.

Dr. Rachel Manchester was introduced to veterinary medicine at an early age by her father, who is also a veterinarian. Her love for animals and science drew her to toward caring for a wide range of species, and over the years she has developed a deep appreciation for the bond between pets and the people who love them.

Passionate about emergency medicine and critical care, Dr. Manchester enjoys the variety of cases and fast pace of the specialty. She finds it especially rewarding to help guide owners through the difficult moments and to see particularly serious cases turn around – ultimately sending a beloved pet home to their family.

Her clinical interests include sepsis, coagulopathies and toxicities.

Dr. Colleen Mans is a resident in our surgical service. She spent five years as a veterinary captain in the United States Army Veterinary Corps and has provided emergency and preventative care to over 400 military working dogs and horses, both at home and overseas. Dr. Mans is most interested in acute abdomens, wound management and urinary disorders.
